The main goal of this comprehensive activity is the proper interconnection of all institutions competent in the field of combating the illegal use of CBRN materials in Slovak Republic and Ukraine.

Since neither the Slovak Republic nor Ukraine had a formalized CBRN security and safety education and training system before the implementation of the project, the goal of the project partners is to develop, formalize and test such system in both countries.

The international exercise was carried out during the project, in order to share best practices, identify the problems of the current cooperation and to test the newly created concept of detection and response to a CBRN incident. The exercise took place on the Slovak territory.

Opening and Final Conference – both conferences will by hosted by the project promoter in Slovakia.

As part of this activity, education and training of employees of state institutions competent in the field of combating illegal handling of CBRN materials (CBRN specialists and members of intervention units) in the Slovak Republic and Ukraine is planned in order to improve their knowledge and skills in this area.

Purchase of detection equipment and protective equipment for institutions competent in the field of combating illicit handling of CBRN materials.

Based on the experience of the project promoter in the field of combating CBRN threats, it is possible to state the continuing low awareness of the general public about the issue of CBRN security and safety, but also about the issue of possible misuse of CBRN materials.
